Does my health insurance provide compensation for the consultations?

Various Belgian health insurances provide compensation for consultations with a recognised psychologist or psychotherapist. At BloomUp we work exclusively with recognised psychologists and psychotherapists, so your consultations via BloomUp are always eligible if your health insurance fund provides compensation for this.

The list below gives you an overview of the various Belgian health insurance funds that offer compensation for psychological support. Always contact your health insurance fund to see what the current conditions are and what the compensation means for you.

Christian Mutuality (CM)

CM entered into a partnership with BloomUp. As a CM member, you do not need to take any further action after following a digital therapy session at BloomUp, the compensation will be paid automatically.

The compensation:

- For children and young people
- 50 percent of the fee paid will be refunded per session, with a maximum of 30 euros. Members with increased compensation receive 75 percent of the fee reimbursed per session, with a maximum of 45 euros.
- For adults
- For services from January 1, 2023*: CM will reimburse 10 euros per session. Members with increased allowance receive 15 euros per session. The compensation is limited to the actual fee paid (including VAT).
- For services up to and including December 31, 2022: 50 percent of the fee paid will be refunded per session, with a maximum of 10 euros. Members with increased compensation receive 75 percent of the fee reimbursed per session, with a maximum of 15 euros.

As a CM member you can count on a maximum of 24 allowances per life. Only one session per day will be refunded.

Helan

The statutory health insurance provides reimbursement for primary psychological care and specialized psychological care. You only pay the co-payment yourself.

If you are not entitled to a reimbursement through the statutory health insurance, Helan Ziekenfonds will grant you a compensation of 10 euros per session for a maximum of 12 sessions per year.

Neutral Health Insurance Fund Flanders

For psychological guidance for which you do not receive a legal reimbursement, the Neutral Health Insurance Fund Flanders will reimburse you up to 150 euros (fifteen consultations of 10 euros).

LM Health Insurance Fund

You will receive a refund of 20 euros per session with a psychologist or psychotherapist. You will receive a contribution of 60% of the cost of a mindfulness course.

You can combine both forms of therapy (psychological guidance, whether or not in a group and mindfulness), but the intervention never amounts to more than 120 euros per calendar year. You will never get back more than you paid yourself.

Solidaris

If you do not use the statutory reimbursement for psychological care, you can receive a refund from our health insurance fund.

You will receive a 50% refund up to a certain amount per consultation:

	Get back	Get Back (VT)
Child or young person	up to €20 per consultation	up to €30 per consultation
Adult	up to €10 per consultation	up to € 15 per consultation

You are entitled to a refund for a maximum of 12 consultations per year.
